Colorado Republican who pushed wife into door says he’d do it again

Colorado Republican nominee for governor Victor Marx told campaign supporters he does not regret slamming his wife into a door and would do it again, framing the episode as a self-defense lesson rather than abuse.

The comments came on a Zoom call with backers the night of Oct. 5, 2026. 9News anchor Kyle Clark posted video of the call the next evening, writing that Marx “doesn’t regret slamming his wife into a door to teach her a lesson about self-defense.”
