Investigative Journalist drops a 28min video showing how the 2024 Election was Rigged by Trump

On July 15, 2025, investigative journalist Scott Carney posted a 28-minute-33-second YouTube video with a title that left no room for hedging: Yes, There’s Evidence Trump Hacked the 2024 Election.

It was not a cable-news clip or a meme. It was a constructed case: voting-machine vulnerabilities, a real software-theft scandal from after 2020, a November 13, 2024 letter to Kamala Harris, statistical papers that claimed Pennsylvania’s numbers looked wrong, and Donald Trump quotes.

Carney is a long-form reporter whose earlier work, including The Red Market, built a reputation for going into grim, under-reported corners. In the July 2025 video he does not claim to have a server log, a whistleblower with malware in hand, or a smoking-gun confession that survives a full transcript. He argues something more legalistic: means, motive, and opportunity.

Means: electronic tabulators can be attacked. Computer scientists have been saying that for years. University of Michigan professor J. Alex Halderman testified to Congress in 2017 that some U.S. machines could be sabotaged in ways that would not leave an obvious trace. That testimony is old, public, and not invented for 2024.

Opportunity: after 2020, Trump-aligned operatives copied voting-system software in Coffee County, Georgia, and similar incidents elsewhere. Dominion itself warned that unauthorized copies of its software could do “irreparable damage” to election-security interests. That breach is documented. It is one of the ugliest post-2020 election-security stories in the country.

Motive, in Carney’s telling: a candidate facing criminal exposure, a close Electoral College map, and a political culture that had spent four years treating election machinery as a battlefield.

Then he adds the flourish that made the video travel. Days after the election, Trump praised Elon Musk’s knowledge of “vote counting computers” in connection with Pennsylvania. Later, at a FIFA event, Trump said some version of “they rigged the election, and I became president.” In the video, those lines are treated as near-admissions.
