Investigative journalist Scott Carney released a roughly 22-minute video in late December 2025 titled “Yes, There’s NEW Evidence that They Hacked the 2024 Election (Part 1),” which examined brief on-screen graphics from an election-night livestream by the show Breaking Points. The graphics, powered by the analytics firm Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), briefly displayed counties that do not exist in the listed states and carried vote totals far larger than any real county could produce.

Carney is a long-form reporter whose earlier work, including The Red Market, built a reputation for going into grim, under-reported corners. In the Dec 2025 video he does not claim to have a server log, a whistleblower with malware in hand, or a smoking-gun confession that survives a full transcript. He argues something more legalistic: means, motive, and opportunity.
In the video, Carney highlighted examples including a nonexistent “Burke County, Florida,” shown with more than 3 million votes for Donald Trump and roughly 2.8 million for Kamala Harris (plus millions still outstanding), along with similar anomalies labeled as counties in North Carolina, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. He noted that these figures exceeded plausible statewide or county totals and suggested they could represent temporary “banks” of votes that were later redistributed, potentially as evidence of software manipulation during live reporting. Carney framed the clips as the kind of minor glitches that election-security experts have said sophisticated interference might leave behind, and he referenced public comments by Trump and Elon Musk about voting technology.
