American tourist claims Ken Paxton assaulted him after the man filmed Paxton and his mistress Tracy Duhon on the street in London.

An American tourist says he was sightseeing near the London Eye on July 1 when he spotted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton walking with Tracy Duhon. He recorded an 18-second clip. What happened next, according to the couple who spoke anonymously to the Daily Mail, turned a tourist snapshot into a tense street confrontation.

The tourist walked away after filming. Moments later he felt a bump on his left shoulder. Paxton was standing next to him.

“Were you filming me back there?” Paxton allegedly asked.

The tourist said yes. Paxton replied that he couldn’t do that. The tourist answered that he could: Paxton was a public figure in a public place. Then, the man claimed, Paxton lunged for the phone and demanded to see the footage.

“Let me have your phone. I want your phone,” Paxton allegedly shouted as the encounter grew heated. He lunged a second time, the tourist said, trying to force the device from his hand. The tourist told him to back off. No punches were thrown and no one was injured.

The tourist’s wife heard the commotion, ran over, and pulled out her own phone after her husband yelled for her to record. She said Paxton appeared to assess the new camera before walking away. Duhon was not present during the alleged altercation.

The couple reported the incident to London’s Metropolitan Police but have not pursued charges. They said they feared political retaliation and did not want their names attached to a fight with a well-connected Republican. They decided to speak now, they told the Mail, because early voting in Texas begins October 19 and they believe voters should know.
