The People of Denmark hate Trump so much that they created bright orange Donald Trump “moron” cakes for breakfast so they can feel happy every morning

Danes are so thoroughly done with Donald Trump that they invented a bright-orange “moron cake” and now start the day by eating his face.

When Trump returned to the White House and revived the idea that the United States should simply acquire the world’s largest island — an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark for more than three centuries — Danish politicians answered with diplomacy. One MEP chose a shorter vocabulary. A family bakery in Videbæk chose marzipan.

THE TRUMP “MORON” CAKES

At Kjer’s Brød, bakers took a childhood staple called Kaj kage — a cheerful green frog cake named after Kaj, the jazz-loving puppet from Danish kids’ TV — and changed one letter. Kaj became kvaj. In Danish, a kvaj is someone who has just done something spectacularly stupid. The traditional apology is a kvajebajer: a “moron beer” you buy your friends after you have embarrassed yourself. Denmark skipped the beer and went straight to cake.

The result sits in the display case under a red sign that reads DONALD TRUMP KVAJE KAGE, 25 kroner. About $3.50. Vanilla sponge or rum ball underneath, strawberry-tinted cream, a taut orange marzipan skin, a yellow swirl of “hair,” chocolate-dot eyes, and a little slit of a mouth that looks permanently unimpressed. Some versions lost their toupee in transit. Customers did not seem to mind.

Baker Peter Kjer said The cakes exist because of Trump’s words about Greenland. They also exist because they sell. After the first batch hit the counter, the shop sold out. Inquiries arrived from Indonesia, Australia, Norway, Britain, and the United States. Later the bakery added a blue “frozen” edition — nicknamed Blåmp — after leftover blue marzipan met the joke that Trump would turn the same color in Greenland. Kjer called it mostly for fun. Demand treated it as something closer to a national souvenir.
